Maura Higgins, Ciara Miller join 'Dancing with the Stars' season 35 cast

WATCH: Catching up with the 'DWTS' cast

We're months away from stepping back into the "Dancing with the Stars" ballroom, but two cast members are already preparing their dance moves.

"The Traitors" star Maura Higgins and "Summer House" star Ciara Miller were announced Wednesday as the first two cast members to join the upcoming season of "DWTS.

Higgins and Miller were revealed as part of the next season's cast at Hulu's second Get Real event held in Beverly Hills, California.

Higgins rose to fame on the fifth season of the British reality show "Love Island" in 2019, where she was a finalist.

She went on to become a presenter for "Love Island USA," "Love Island Games" and "Love Island USA: Aftersun."

Most recently, Higgins starred on the fourth season of "The Traitors," where she was a runner-up as a "faithful."

Miller, a former travel nurse and model, joined the fifth season of the hit Bravo reality show "Summer House" in 2021.

Many fans have shown support for Miller amid the show's current season, airing now, after her castmates Amanda Batula and West Wilson, whom Miller dated previously, confirmed their romantic relationship in a joint statement shared on their separate Instagram stories.

Miller seemingly addressed the situation in an interview with Glamour published last week.

"It's one thing to experience hurt behind closed doors," Miller said. "To experience it so publicly is like another layer, and then to have to see what you thought was your life still play out in season 10. It's a major mindf---."

While fans are awaiting to see how things will unfold between Miller, Batula, and Wilson at the "Summer House" season 10 reunion, Miller is turning her attention to "DWTS."

In June 2025, Miller told Us Weekly that she would be open to competing on the hit reality dance show.

"Yeah, why not? I mean, I grew up dancing," she said. "I did ballet for 10 years. Why not?"

She added that she would "totally" do "DWTS" if things are "right for me at the time." She also said that she would want someone like "DWTS" pro Val Chmerkovskiy as her dance partner.

"I want someone who is hard on me. Like, 'You got to get this down,'" she said. "We'd have to work so hard. I don't want any funny games. We're in there to work!"

As for Higgins, the "Traitors" star was a contestant on the British television series "Dancing on Ice" in 2020. She also said previously that she did some Irish dancing as a child.

Higgins told The Hollywood Reporter in March that she'd consider doing "DWTS" next and said she and her "Traitors" co-star, "DWTS" pro Mark Ballas, would sometimes dance in the castle during filming.

"We had a lot of fun," she said. "He's just an incredible dancer."
