Prince William and Kate, the Princess of Wales, attended a garden party in London on Friday.
The afternoon soiree, which was held in the gardens of Buckingham Palace, saw the royals smiling while greeting guests, taking time to chat with some of them.
Kate stepped out in an all-white look consisting of a white skirt with polka dots and a tailored white peplum jacket with black buttons and a 3D floral detail.
She accessorized with a black and white hat, pearl jewelry, nude pumps and a raffia clutch.
William wore a top hat and morning suit for the occasion, finishing the look with a red tie and red flower at the lapel.
Historically, Britain's royal family has hosted at least three garden parties at Buckingham Palace each summer and one at Holyroodhouse in Scotland, according to the Buckingham Palace website.
Approximately 10,000 guests are invited to each garden party, the website states. Guests are treated to music, tea, and the opportunity to explore the garden, which is typically not open to the general public.
"Garden Parties took the place of presentation parties attended by debutantes, and have evolved into a way of recognising and rewarding public service," Buckingham Palace's website states.
The palace notes that the royal family's network of sponsors, which include lord lieutenants, societies and associations, government departments, local governments, and more, are used to nominate guests for invitations.
"Garden Parties are an important way for members of the Royal Family to speak to a broad range of people from all walks of life, all of whom have made a positive impact in their community," the palace states.
The last garden party William and Kate attended was held in May 2025.
